Grace's Kitchen was established in 2009.

Our Family owned & operated restaurant has evolved throughout the years.  The original diner was known as the High Hat.  Opened in 1933 by Bill Merryman (our grandfather)  and his brother-in-law, Gene Baxter. The diner served as a Truck Stop on Summit Street before the Interstate was constructed.

Eventually the High Hat made way for a 1960's Drive-Up diner and renamed Merryman's King's Taste which was owned by Bill & Grace Merryman.  Girls on roller skates took your orders and served up 25c Hamburgers!  Back in the late 70's, Larry Merryman (our father) became part owner of King's Taste until he opened his own restaurant (Webber's Waterfront Restaurant) in 1980.

From the 1980's until 2008 Merryman's King's Taste has been owned by our Grandmother, Grace Merryman.  We our proud to now reopen in her honor- Grace's Kitchen!
